Our dedicated focus on Electrical Engineering has meant we've built up an envious network of contacts in the EC&I sector. For example, we've delivered solutions in highly regulated industries that require security clearance such as the nuclear sector as well as helping our customers build up flexible contract based teams in the metal processing industry. Our scope for delivery has been broad, we've helped specialist Instrument Designer Engineers find their next assignment for fuel development companies, right through to introducing EC&I Engineers to clients to work in giga factories to help manufacture car batteries.

Skills needed

  • EC&I Engineers that we represent are typically strong with technical documentation such as quality plans, risk assessments, functional design specifications, cable calculation reports and method statements. They’re often great designers too, so can create general arrangement drawings, cable routing diagrams, layout drawings, single line diagrams, parts lists and drawing schedules often involved in designing power, controls, safety related and functional safety systems.
  • We work with formerly trained experienced EC&I Engineers who are often Degree qualified, some have an MSc or a PhD, some have Chartered status. We also help apprentice trained and entry level, graduate EC&I engineers along their first career steps.
  • For a lot of companies we represent, system safety is critical,  so our requirements often include a need for safety accreditations and certifications such as TUV Rheinland or COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR or COMPEX. EC&I Engineers we’ve worked with have also designed instrumentation for hazardous areas to the IEC 60079 standard.
  • EC&I Engineers we’ve successfully represented are often conversant with equipment interface & communication using Protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus or Profinet.
