Commissioning Engineer – Contract – UK site work – IR35 Exempt – 3 month contract initially – £40hr + mileage + expenses (accommodation/subsistence)

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to work for a South Yorkshire based systems integrator covering PLC/controls commissioning work across the UK.

Key aspects of the Commissioning Engineer role include;

  • A proven track record of commissioning industrial control/PLC based systems – ideally for conveyors, logistics, material handling systems, high speed production environments or automated warehouses
  • Previous experience of I/O checking and sequence testing/test sequence control
  • Valid ECS Safety Passport or equivalent – highly desirable
  • First class customer communication skills
  • Applicants can live anywhere from the Sheffield/Doncaster/Barnsley area to anywhere further South in the UK, due to the locations of the site work (i.e. wouldn’t be practical for the successful Commissioning Engineer to be based in Glasgow for example).
  • Siemens TIA Portal knowledge – blocks are pre-written so don’t need to be an expert, but need to know your way around functionality and have previously used TIA Portal
  • Practical, hands-on approach for site work – customer sites are based in the UK and you’ll be involved in site based commissioning (a big job for this company is 2 weeks on site).

If you have experience of working for a system integrator or machine manufacturer, commissioning Siemens TIA Portal based systems then this could be an ideal opportunity for you.

The company will pay your expenses whilst working away and will also pay 45p/mile for your mileage. The commissioning could be anywhere in the UK.

Please apply today for an immediate response.
