Contract EC&I Engineer – IR35 Exempt – Homebased
Staffordshire – Contract – 3 months rolling – £40hr – IR35 Exempt – Mostly Homebased – Must have basic level Security Clearance
Samuel Frank Associates is now recruiting for a security cleared EC&I Engineer to join a growing & stable Staffordshire based specialist engineering company. The successful EC&I Engineer will need to have experience of leading/mentoring others and leading projects.
Current security clearance is key – you won’t be able to do the role without it.
Key aspects of the EC&I Engineer role includes;
- Electrical requirements specification and analysis, hardware system design from scratch (ideally AutoCAD), hardware functional design & hardware specification experience
- Ideally led small Electrical engineering teams of 2-5 people
- Strong organisational and communication skills – essential
- Coordinating and supporting the manufacture and test of system components
The engineering aspect to the role will involve investigating problems on customer sites through site surveys and analysis of existing drawings, suggesting options to solve the problem then actually doing the electrical design work involved. This opportunity will definitely suit an experienced EC&I Engineer who gets excited by finding problems and then coming up with solutions!

Whilst most of this role could be done from home (the client estimates once you’re up and running that as little as 1 day per week could be in the office) their offices are easily commutable from Stoke, Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, Telford, Uttoxeter, Stone
