Electrical Design Engineer – EPLAN or AutoCAD – West Midlands – Office Based – Staff – £40-50k + private health care + eligibility for bonus scheme after 6 months (up to 10% of salary)

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a West Midlands based company who has good EPLAN or AutoCAD knowledge to join them on a staff basis.

The company is a small, well-established systems integrator / consultancy type business, so the role comes with plenty of opportunity to shine whilst working on very interesting and challenging projects.

Key aspects to the Electrical Design Engineer role include;

• EPLAN or AutoCAD experience – control panel design, schematics, GAs
• Process industry background – ideal
• Development of I/O schedules from P&IDs
• Work from Functional Design Specifications and Hardware Design Specifications
• Experience of specifying hardware for a SIL2 compliant complex project (EN13849 and 61511 / 61508) – ideal experience
• Successful Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have working knowledge of PLC hardware (not programming them)
• Development of I/O schedules from P&IDs
• Knowledge of ATEX equipment – advantageous

The Electrical Design Engineer position will be mainly office based, the company is based on the West side of Birmingham and will be easily commutable from places such as Kingswinford, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Halesowen, Brierley Hill & Stourbridge.
