Electrical Design Engineer – Lancashire – £35-40k + flexitime system + 25 days holiday

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer with experience of working with one of the major CAD packages (ePLAN or AutoCAD Electrical ideally) to join a Blackburn based systems integrator. 

This Electrical Design Engineer position could someone with 2-4 years experience. 

Key aspects of the Electrical Design Engineer role include;

• Electrical schematic drawings design – (they use ePLAN)
• Site survey of customers’ existing machines and control systems
• Interpretation of customer quotation
• Control system design
• Sizing of components
• Sourcing components
• Purchasing components
• Keeping track of component deliveries
• Provision of instructions to, and liaising with, panel builders
• Providing technical support to panel builders
• Control panel testing
• Production of installation instructions
• Planning and supervision of control panel installation
• Assisting in commissioning systems

Their work focuses on upgrading client machinery in multiple sectors which include textiles, pharmaceutical, packaging and specialist manufacturing machinery.

An interest in, and willingness to learn the use of programming software for PLCs, HMIs and drives would be useful for the successful Electrical Design Engineer. This role will be based at their Blackburn office and will require travel to, and periods of work at, customers sites; mainly within the UK, with occasional travel overseas. 

You must have a current, clean UK driving licence.

The client is based in Lancashire and they’re easily commutable from the Greater Manchester area, Bury, Bolton, Chorley, Wigan, Accrington, Preston, Blackburn and Burnley.
