Mechanical Design Engineer – North Yorkshire – Precision Engineering – Special Purpose Machinery – £35-50k DOE + hybrid working once up and running

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a successful, bespoke, special purpose machine manufacturer based in North Yorkshire. As the wide salary range suggest, the team is able to accommodate Mechanical Design Engineers with varying levels of experience.

Key aspects of the Mechanical Design Engineer role includes;

• Competent in technical aspects of mechanical design and ideally development of special purpose machinery (especially for Mechanical Design Engineers looking for the upper end of the salary range)
• Experience of working within a multi–skilled environment (i.e., knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components)
• 3D CAD mechanical design experience using Autodesk Inventor and Vault – preferred. The company is open to cross training Mechanical Design Engineers with experience of other major design packages.
• Provide a high level of commercial awareness to ensure design solutions are delivered in a cost-effective manner & design changes are managed in accordance with standard operation procedures
