West Midlands – Permanent – £50-55k + car/allowance + bonus + 8% pension contribution

Samuel Frank is now recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join a key client in the West Midlands.

The successful Service Manager will be capable of managing and growing a small service team. This person will be the primary technical contact in the office and will need to be able to build good working relationships with all internal stake holders as well as customers/suppliers etc. The Service Manager will also have full P&L responsibility including setting sales targets.

Service Managers who have worked in either the robotics and/or the automotive sectors will be considered favourably.

Key aspects of the Service Manager role include;

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Experience of servicing automation equipment
  • Proven experience of customer relationship management and seeking out selling opportunities
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Strategic and financial planning experience coupled with budget management
  • Methodical and accurate with strong communication, negotiation, influencing and persuading skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • The client envisages the Service Manager’s time to be split between the office and onsite roughly 2 days per week in the office and 3 days on site (UK customers).

The clients’ offices are easily commutable from the following places in the Midlands; South East Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Redditch, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Solihull, Nuneaton and Banbury.
