Software Engineer – PLCs – Worcestershire – £45-60k. Hybrid working – 2 days a week from home – Car/Car Allowance and Private Health Insurance

The successful Software Engineer will be joining a specialist controls & automation company that has their own manufacturing and panel assembly capabilities. The systems the Software Engineer will be working on will typically consist of variable speed drives, PLCs and HMIs with communication interconnections.

Key aspects of the Software Engineer role include –

• Lead the design, development and implementation of control systems software solutions
• Play a major role in the team in understanding and implementing customer specifications
• Strong PLC/SCADA/HMI knowledge across a range of vendors
• Provide technical leadership and mentor lesser experienced Software Engineers
• Degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Working with Ethernet (IP) and Profinet and ideally Modbus, Profibus, Profisafe, ControlNet, CTNet.
• Typical project value could range from £100-500k
• First class communication skills – experience of working well within a multi-faceted team environment, supporting sales teams with bid preparation through to site based commissioning
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Driving licence

The client is based in the West Midlands and is easily commutable from the following places across Worcestershire and the West Midlands – Birmingham, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Halesowen, Dudley, West Bromwich, Droitwich Spa, Stourport-on-Severn, Solihull, Stourbridge and Worcester.
