Tendering / Proposals Manager – Industrial Controls / Automation – Staffordshire – Permanent – £50-55k + Bonus + 8% Pension Contribution
Samuel Frank Associates is recruiting for a Tendering / Proposals Manager to join a growing and very well-regarded systems integrator based in Staffordshire. The successful applicant may currently be working as a Commercial Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer or a Proposals Engineer. The client is also open to considering applications from Control Engineers looking to make the transition into a tendering focused role.
The key requirement for this position is to have worked in the industrial controls sector, preferably for a systems integrator and have had some exposure to the tendering process. If you’re a Controls Engineer with good commercial awareness, the company is very much open to training you and helping you develop the required skills needed to be a successful Tendering Manager.
Key aspects of the Tendering / Proposals Manager position include –
- Capability to tender for the manufacture of control panels and associated software and control engineering content.
- Capability to write a tender document in clear concise language, explaining technical solutions in good detail and clearly capturing the offered scope of supply
- First class written and spoken English ability
- Methodical, organised, considered approach
The successful Tendering / Proposals Manager will be working alongside an experienced Salesperson who’ll do most of the site visits, the company sees the role of tendering/proposals as predominantly office based.
The client’s offices are easily commutable from most of Cheshire and parts of Staffordshire including places such as Crewe, Northwich, Macclesfield, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke, Leek and Congleton.
